Intelligent glazing is so called because the structure of the unit is able to selectively control and manage the levels of light, heat and UV radiation that are able to pass through the glass and into your room. Special metallic coatings are built up in microscopic layers on the glass, and by tailoring the best combination of these invisible coatings, desirable elements are allowed to pass through the glass, whilst undesirable elements are filtered out or reflected back. In addition, a self cleaning coating is applied to the outer surface to ensure the glass stays cleaner longer, and argon gas filling helps retain heat.
